The Best Days & Times To Post To Social Media

If you haven’t heard by now, social media is the best way to amplify content from your website. Instead of having your customers find your content, you are bringing your content to your customers. But there are some definitive strategies to posting to social media. One of them is posting your content at the best possible time on the best possible days so your content doesn’t get lost in the plethora of content on the web. The best times to post vary slightly on a business by business basis. However, there is some solid data on when the optimal times you should be posting to get the best ROI on your content. Using a combination of data taken from QuickSprout, Buffer, TrackMaven, Fast Company, and KISSmetrics you can develop a schedule on what times and days you should focus on. Below is a combination of the data taken for each social network.

Facebook – Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday 9 AM, 1-3 PM

Twitter – Weekdays 12 PM – 5 PM

LinkedIn – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 7-8 AM, 12 PM, 5-6 PM

Pinterest – Saturday & Sunday 2PM, 9PM

Instagram – Monday & Thursday 8-9 AM, 5-7 PM

Absolute Best Times To Post To Social Media

If you don’t have the time to post at all of the times listed above at least try to focus on these days and times below to maximize your engagement.

Facebook – Thursday between 1:00 – 3:00 PM

Twitter – Weednesday between 12:00 – 3:00 PM

LinkedIn – Midweek between 5:00 – 6:00

Pinterest – Saturday evenings between 8:00 – 11:00 PM

Instagram – Mondays 7 PM

 

Absolute Worst Times To Post To Social Media

This doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t post at these times, but they receive the lowest engagement compared to the optimal times.

Facebook – Weekends before 8:00 AM and after 8:00 PM

Twitter – Weedays 8:00 – 11:00 AM and 4:00 – 8:00 PM

LinkedIn – Evenings between 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Pinterest – Anytime in the morning
